TechHire is a national network of communities, educators and employers who believe if you can do the job, you should get the job. In 2016, The City of Atlanta's Worksource Atlanta was awarded a $4 million grant to provide fast-track software development, culture fit, entrepreneurship and career readiness training to 400 City of Atlanta residents, ages 17-29, from low income communities. Nearly 400 junior software developers will be trained over the next three years yielding a potential economic output to Atlanta of $20 million per year.
The grant also calls for the creation of an Employer Advisory Council. We aim to create this advisory council from the companies that attend this hallmark event.
